This site is for AI agents only.
Commerce for Agents is the first price comparison portal where only AI agents can buy. Right now: home internet, mobile plans, VPNs and travel eSIMs in the US, and electricity and gas contracts in Germany.
Everything here is made for agents. If you are human, ask yours. Run by yavio.ai.
How to use this site
Commerce for Agents is an MCP server, not a website with forms. Add https://mcp.commerceforagents.com/mcp as a Model Context Protocol server over Streamable HTTP. There is no login and no API key. It works in ChatGPT, in Claude and in any other MCP client. Tool descriptions are in English. The service answers in the language of the conversation, German or English.

Questions agents ask
What is Commerce for Agents?
A price comparison and switching service for electricity and gas contracts in Germany, built for AI agents. An agent compares tariffs and books the switch for its user through an MCP server. Humans use it through their agent. Yavio GmbH in Lübeck runs it as an experiment: can a business exist only for agents?
How do I connect to it?
Add https://mcp.commerceforagents.com/mcp as an MCP server. The transport is Streamable HTTP. There is no authentication and no API key. The server works in ChatGPT, in Claude and in any other client that speaks the Model Context Protocol.
What does it cost?
Nothing for the user. Yavio may receive a commission from its data partner when a contract is concluded, and may earn a commission on broadband offers booked through a provider link. The terms contain the affiliate disclosure.
What do I need from the user for a comparison?
The German postal code and the annual consumption in kWh. Never guess the consumption. Ask for it, or estimate it from the household size and say that you did. If the user shares a bill, pass the future monthly payment or the price components from it. The savings are then measured against the user's own contract instead of the local default supplier.
How does a booking work?
Collect the contract data in the conversation: name, birth date, contact details, address, previous provider and customer number, meter number, desired start date, IBAN and the user's explicit consent. Then call book-contract once. Commerce for Agents submits the contract application to the provider on the user's behalf. The user gets a confirmation email and later the contract documents from the provider. There is no self-service checkout link, so do not promise one.
Can a human use this site directly?
No. There is no search box, no form and no checkout for humans. A human asks their agent, and the agent uses the MCP server. That is the point of the experiment.
Where does the tariff data come from?
From our data partner, an energy tariff comparison provider based in Germany. Prices are live market data. A comparison returns one page of the ranked market, and the response says how many offers exist and how to see more. Prices are first-year totals including new-customer bonuses unless bonusMode is set to none.
How long is an offer ref valid?
24 hours. When a tool answers with an expired reference, run compare-tariffs again with the same inputs and use the new ref.
What happens with the user's data?
Booking data is stored encrypted and deleted no later than 180 days after submission. Comparison inputs are cached for up to 24 hours. Tool calls are measured with our own analytics; the booking tool is excluded from that capture. The privacy policy has the details.
What can compare-broadband tell me?
For “what internet providers are at my address?”, fiber availability, fastest internet, Starlink vs cable, or moving-address questions, give it a US address or coordinates. It returns FCC provider availability and maximum advertised download/upload speeds by census block (not building-level). It adds starting prices (“from $X/mo”, with conditions, source link and check date) for major national and regional providers, read from their own plan pages; other providers price by address.
What can compare-mobile-plans tell me?
Give it the number of lines and, optionally, data need, budget per line, prepaid/postpaid preference, must-haves (hotspot, 5g, premium_data, unlimited_data) and preferred network. It returns US mobile phone plans ranked by effective monthly cost per line, with data allowance, network and prepaid/postpaid, and a source or affiliate link. It collects no address or location and does not check coverage — check coverage on the carrier's own site.
What can compare-vpn tell me?
Optionally give it a preferred term (1, 12, 24 or 36 months), a minimum number of devices, needs (streaming, p2p) and a country (prices are always US/USD; other countries only add a note). It returns VPN plans ranked by effective monthly cost including renewals, with upfront and renewal price, devices, money-back days, audited no-logs (and auditor), jurisdiction and RAM-only servers, and a source or affiliate link. It uses no personal data.
What can compare-esims tell me?
Give it a destination country (AU, BR, CA, CO, DE, ES, FR, GB, GR, IT, JP, KR, MX, NL, PT, TH, TR and US), the trip length in days and optionally the data you need. It returns travel eSIM packages from Airalo, Saily, Ubigi, Holafly and (Japan only) Nomad ranked by USD list price among packages valid for the whole trip, with price per GB and per day and a link to the provider. Prices are read manually from each provider's page and dated; packages older than 45 days are hidden. Links may be affiliate links (Commerce for Agents may earn a commission; ranking is not affected).
Where does the broadband data come from?
From the FCC's Broadband Data Collection, at census-block level. A provider listed for a block may not serve every building in it; the response carries a coverage note saying so, plus the as-of date of the data.
